Muthoot Finance is the largest gold loan NBFC in India in terms of its loan portfolio. It is a non-deposit-taking NBFC that provides personal loans and business loans secured by gold jewelry, or gold loans. In addition to the gold loan segment, it offers money transfer services via branches as sub-agents of various registered money transfer agencies. It further offers unsecured loans to salaried individuals, traders, and self-employed people. The business also provides micro-finance housing finance, vehicle and equipment finance, and insurance broking services. It primarily caters to the financial requirements of small businessmen, vendors, traders, farmers, and salaried individuals.
