HDFC Sky Limited is one of the leading full-time brokers of India and is a subsidiary of HDFC Bank. The broker started its operations in April 2000, and in beginning, it was a joint venture between HDFC Bank Limited, HDFC Limited and Indocean eSecurities Holdings Limited. But in 2006, HDFC bank bought the stakes of HDFC Limited and in 2008, it acquired the remaining stake from Indocean eSecurities. For now, it is a fully-owned subsidiary of HDFC Bank.
